Join us in exploring the ancient practice of Qi Gong, taught by Master Peter Caughey, the last descendant of the Zan Zyu Dou Taai Gik Kyun Monastery School. Through gentle movements, deep breathing, and mindfulness, Qi Gong harmonizes body, mind, and spirit – helping you connect deeply with the vital energy (Qi) within yourself and the world around you.

We will also delve into the art of conscious breathing — the foundation of life. The Venue - Bali Purnati

 

 

Accommodation Overview

The Purnati compound is the perfect setting for our course. It provides Single and Shared room accommodation for guests in 4 two-story traditional Lumbungs.

Additionally to the Lumbungs, the venue offers 3 brand new Villas.

Each villa consists of 3 private rooms, featuring both Deluxe Master & Guest Rooms, designed for comfort and relaxation.

The Lumbungs are modern wooden structures inspired by classic Balinese rice barn. Built with traditional materials for both interiors and exteriors, each room has A/C, ceiling fan and generous en-suite bathrooms. 

Each bedroom is accessed by a private outdoor stairwell-entrance. The first floors have private balconies.

Purnati is really a private home and guests are encouraged to make special requests in advance to allow for our planning.  Asian, western and special diet meals are prepared in our kitchens by our team of chefs and team with the daily market’s freshest ingredients.

The Master Room offers a spacious layout ideal for couples.

About Your Facilitators.
Qi Gong Master
Peter Caughey

Peter is the Founder of Forest Rock Qigong and The Forest Rock Qigong School. He is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a Master of Taiji Quan & Qi Gong, an Acupuncturist, a Chinese Medical Herbalist, a Medical Qi Gong & Tunia Practitioner, and a published author.

With over 30 years of experience, he has teached thousands of students, treated hundreds of patients at his Acupuncture Clinic, and become a leading figure in Taiji and Qi Gong practice. This journey has provided him with a profound understanding of true well-being and how to achieve it. He believes that optimal health begins with a shift in how we see ourselves, our goals, and the world around us.

Before dedicating himself to Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, and Taiji, Peter served honorably for 16 years in the New Zealand Army, including 7 years with the New Zealand Special Forces. He is the living embodiment of both the Soldier and the Sage.

Outside of his professional life, Peter cherishes his role as a husband, father of three, and grandfather. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife and youngest son, immersing himself in different cultures and connecting with people from all walks of life.

Peter brings a wealth of knowledge, authenticity, warmth, care, and humor to his teachings, creating an environment where students can experience profound growth and transformation.

Amanda Wright

Amanda is a certified breathwork facilitator and Qi Gong teacher dedicated to empowering others through the transformative power of breath and movement. Her journey began in 2020 when a personal weight loss revelation – that 70% of fat loss occurs through exhalation – led her to explore breathwork more deeply. Inspired by Wim Hof’s methods, she delved into the science and practice of breathwork, studying under renowned experts like Tom Granger (Draw Breath, Aria Breath) and Peter Caughey (Forest Rock Qi Gong). Currently, she is advancing her training in conscious connected breathwork with Steph Magenta of Seven Directions Breathwork.

With a passion rooted in personal transformation, Amanda blends evidence-based techniques with mindful movements to help clients cultivate mental clarity, emotional resilience, and physical vitality. Her holistic approach bridges ancient wisdom and modern science, guiding individuals to reconnect with their innate energy and achieve lasting balance.

Josephine

Josephine is an accomplished singer, musician, composer, and wellness practitioner. Music has been an integral part of her life since childhood – singing, songwriting, and performing on stage since the age of 9 years old.

Her artistry extends beyond the stage. For over 20 years, she’s guided others towards discovering physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance through Pilates and Yoga instruction.

She shares a combination of music and healing in her transformative ‘Sound Journeys,’ where her unique talent blends her heavenly voice and intuitive mastery of atmospheric soundscapes to create deeply soulful experiences. These healing and otherworldy sound experience harmonizes the mind, body, and spirit, offering both healing and a glimpse of the mystical.
