QTT Assessments

Cancellation/no-show policy for assessments

The fee of each of the one-on-one assessment is $50 that is included in the course fee. There is a total of 3 assessments per students.

We request 24 hours notice to cancel appointments to avoid our $50 cancellation fee. Please be aware that students who do not provide at least 24 hours notice when cancelling appointments will be required to pay the full assessment fee of $50 for the rebooking of the assessment.

The cancellation fee must be paid before another session is scheduled. An invoice will be sent to the student.

There is some flexibility in this policy for emergency situations but remember a scheduled appointment is a time reserved especially for you. And usually if you cancel at the last minute, the reserved spot cannot be rescheduled.

Please, always private message the teacher on Telegram or email if you are running late.

Please plan to log in to your Zoom account at least 5 minutes early for your appointment so we can start the assessment on time.

There will be a $50 no-show fee if students are unable to make their appointment without giving at least 24 hours prior notice before they are able to rebook a new assessment time.

If the student is advised after the recorded teaching video has been assessed to re-do the assessment, the student will be charged the full assessment fee of $50 for the new assessment and also could be asked to do the teaching video again. If you are required to do a re-assessment for more than one Qigong system you will be charged the full assessment fee of $50 for each new assessment.

Assessments are scheduled over a two week period

After each set taught and practiced for 3 weeks, the one-on-one assessments will be scheduled over the following 2 weeks. There is a maximum of 4 assessments per day available per teacher, so make sure you book a reasonable time for yourself noticing the time zone difference.

Students are to record their assessments

Students are advised to record their assessments so they can go back to watch what was said or rewatch the coaching points.

Fail the assessment

If the student fails an assessment, they will be asked to re-watch the instruction videos and practice until they are confident with performing the Qigong sets. Students will be charged the full assessment fee of $50 for the rebooking of the assessment.

Personal Teaching Hours, Teaching Video & Essay

1. Teaching Demonstration Video

A 30-minute video of you teaching a Qigong class is
required. The teaching can be of either one system or a combination of the three systems (Shi Ba Shi, Five Element, Heaven to Earth).

The format of the class: it needs to be a structured 30 minutes class starting with the Bow and the Opening and Closing Forms, followed by any of the Qigong exercises and closed by the Bow at the completion of the class. This is to be a special designed class for the teacher assessment.

The size of the class is a minimum of two students. This must be done in-person  and the recording must show the teacher and the students as well. The teaching format of the class needs to follow the format taught in the ‘How to conduct and structure a practical lesson’ in Module II of the 200hr Qigong Teacher Training Modules.

– The video recording needs to be continuous with no edits.

– The audio quality needs to be at a high enough level that we can hear the instructions clearly and saved in Mp4 Format.

– Best angle for filming would be from the side with the view of the teacher and students, so the teacher can also be seen to make corrections with the students.

– Please send the recording via WeTransfer or by Dropbox within six months after the completion day of the required training modules.

Fail the assessment

If the student fails an assessment, they will be asked to re-watch the instruction videos and practice until they are confident with performing the Qigong sets. Students will be charged the full assessment fee of $50 for the rebooking of the assessment.

A minimum of 15 hours documented personal Qigong teaching. A form will be supplied to be filled out with dates, locations, times, number of students, duration of the classes and total hours of teaching. These teaching hours are not video recorded. They are your private classes that you keep a record of.

Note: The documented independent teaching hours are required to be completed within six months after the completion of your in-person Qigong course training and the documentation needs to be submitted within this time to receive your certification.
