In this Beginner Qi Gong class you’ll learn how to hold an energy ball and learn how to increase and decrease its size and rotate it in different positions.The exercise used for this video is an exercise from the Chen Style taiji system which is called Rolling a ball.This exercise has several benefits:1.This exercise gives a heightened Awareness of Qi (Energy) The practice of forming an energy ball helps practitioners become more attuned to the sensation of Qi, which may feel like warmth, tingling, or magnetism between the hands. This increases sensitivity to subtle energy within and around the body.2. It strengthening the Mind-Body Connection, by focusing attention on the space between the hands, the mind and body work together to direct and perceive energy flow.3. The energy ball exercise focuses Qi between the hands, creating a concentrated point of energy. This process strengthens the practitioner’s ability to gather and direct Qi. 4. The exercise anchors the practitioner in the present moment, reducing mental distractions and fostering mindfulness.5. The interplay of energy between the hands represents the balance of Yin (receptive, passive) and Yang (active, dynamic) energies.
