I wanted to share a quick story with you — about how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) completely changed my life at 27 years old.

Back then, I was struggling with a neck injury from rugby. I tried doctors, physios, chiropractors — and nothing seemed to work to fix it.
Then, a friend suggested I see his Taiji teacher, who was also an acupuncturist and TCM practitioner.
I was skeptical, but I was desperate, so I went.
The first thing he said when I walked in?
“How long have you had the limp for?”
I said, “I don’t have a limp.” And he said, “Yes you do.”
I asked him, “How do you know I have a limp?”
He answered, “I heard you walking.”
I thought, ‘Whow! The dude is listening to me walking.’
It certainly got my attention.

He placed a few acupuncture needles in me and gave me a spinal adjustment. I was there for a couple of hours. He charged $20 and I walked out.
And I didn’t just walk out. I floated out.
I felt like I was standing tall and straight and walking perfectly balanced for the first time in my life. It was a surreal feeling.
One treatment. No follow-up needed.
I remember thinking, ‘What does he know that everyone else I had seen didn’t know?’
From that day onwards, I haven’t been back to a Western Medicine Doctor again, except for structural bone operations and routine check-ups.
That experience changed everything for me. I realized health isn’t just physical; it’s about who I am energetically, and keeping that energy in balance and in alignment.
That teacher became my first Taiji and Qi Gong instructor, and I’ve never looked back. He had extraordinary skills and knowledge about how the body functioned and who we are as human beings.
